This is a pair of collectible and stylish vintage Art Deco era machine age chrome bookends. Each bookend depicts two heads of greyhound or whippet dogs, lean and sleek, facing the same direction. From the reverse side only one dog can be seen. These bookends are done in a satin-finish chrome, apropos of machine age style and sentiment. They are unsigned but in the style of the collectible Nuart studios design. The bookends are in excellent vintage condition with age-appropriate wear, namely some moderate pitting in the chrome throughout and some minor soiling consistent with age and use. They measure 4 1/2 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches deep and 2 5/8 inches wide.
