A gilded glittering pair of bookends with that distinctive Art Deco look. Heavy plaster matching bookends that have a gilded surface. They are large and showy with heads bowed, ears back and nostrils flared. They have a dynamic look. They have new green felt discs on the bases. There are no marks other than the 829 painted on the base of both bookends. 8 ½ (21.6 cm) tall x 4 (10.2 cm) wide x 4 (10.2 cm) deep. Weighs 7 lb 0.5 oz (3190 g). There are several scrapes, scratches and small dots on the finish, but the bookends still have most of their gold coloring. There is also a chip on the mane of one of the horses.
