Antique Art Deco Nude with Greyhounds Bookends. As you can see by the pictures, this is a beautiful pair of antique 1920s Art Nouveau harmonizing with Art Deco aged bronze toned heavy metal bookends. They feature the lasting icons of the era and they tell the stories of the past while holding the books of today. A nude female Nymph like figure stands gazing at the world around her with a Greyhound/Whippet dog on each of her sides. She is surrounded by a waterfall frame with Deco details. Functional, perfect age patina (areas of oxidation) and ever so lovely to look at and enjoy. Always collectible classic design, unique and rare. This set of two Art Deco’Nude with Greyhounds original cast bookends is in good condition for 100 years old. They exhibit some wear associated with age , underside felt gone. Cleaning if desired left to new owner. These are heavy items with a bronze wash and lovely patina. They have been stored in an attic in a smoke free environment.
