The Roseville Pottery Co. This original vintage 1930s “Pine Cone” pattern pair of bookends. The wonderful pair are open book shapes with life-like curled pages. The bookends are of yellow, orange to brown color and are bridged with sculptural pinecones, pine needle sprays and branches. The bookends are heavy, which helps to hold books in place. Along with Rookwood Pottery and Weller Pottery, it was one of the three major art potteries located in Ohio around the turn of the 20th century. Height with branches: 5 1/8 inches. Width: 4 1/2 inches. Depth: 5 1/8 inches.
