1920s Art Deco Nouveau Butterfly Girl Flapper Girl Bookends. 6 ¼ tall x 7wide x 3 ¾ deep, bronze finish on metal and about 7 ½ lb per pair. Inscribed on the back with 63 and attributed to Ronson, circa 1923. Bottoms were originally covered with green felt easy to add new felt or felt dots if desired. The overall finish is good with some exceptions. Looking from the back, both bookends have spots of missing finish on the top wing tips. Bookend B has a transparent material on the chin and neck (see closeup pic). It seems harder than wax, maybe a dried finish of some sort. The bookend finish underneath is still there. I didn’t know how to remove whatever it is, so I chose not to experiment with removing it. Zoom the pics to see both bookends have some minor wear but are in pretty good shape for their age.
