Pair of Art Deco clear frosted glass bookends. Relief of a reclining Gazelle sitting on a raised dais/plinth with a rounded backdrop mimicking the stepped edge sides. No mark or signature but I did find some information on them. Skyscraper influenced style Art Deco bookends designed in 1936 by E. This set of Art Deco glass bookends are part of the Glass Art line put out by the Owens-Illinois Glass Company. NOTE: There is a flake chip on the side of one of the bookends as shown in the photos. It feels like it may have been slightly polished since there does not seem to be any rough edges when I rub a finger over the area. One also has had the felt/burlap padding removed from the bottom, probably by someone looking for a makers mark.
