Each have a number, etched by hand, on the bottom, along with “Made In Italy”. The nude depicted on the bookend is repose with the lion. I’m not quite sure what the wreath and snake symbolize. Made out of alabaster and dating to the late 19th C. To the Art Nouveau period, the bookends weigh about 6 lbs. And each measure approximately 5.25″ x 4.5″.
