A substantial and heavy set, the bookends stand approximately 8″ in height on a rectangular double platform lacquered wood base measuring 3.25″ x 4.25, each weighing over 3 pounds. In overall very good condition, there is expected light to moderate wear to the bases, particularly at the corners. The lions are beautifully cast of brass or bronze with a stylized Art Deco influence in their design. There are no dents, dings, prior repairs, corrosion, or other compromising imperfections found. The Bradley & Hubbard (B&H) hallmark is seen at the top of the attachment bolts securing the lions to their bases. Wear is appropriate for age and history of honest use, so please review the photos as they are a descriptive part of the listing.
