ARMOR BRONZE IN HEAVY BOOKENDS “LONG TIME SWEETHEARTS” PEEKING AROUND THEIR CHAIRS AT EACH OTHER!! This set of almost 100 year old bookends features an older couple in their armchairs. They are looking back towards each other across the books that would be between them. The design is known as’long time sweethearts’ and was made in the mid 1920’s. This pair is bronze clad and heavy weighing 6 pounds 5 ounces. They have an attractive dark patina over burgundy and black as well as gold or bronze color with a few lighter or darker spots. There is a circular trade mark on the backs at the bottom. It is hard to read but is legible. The mark says’Armor Bronze’. There is also a foil sticker on the bottom of each one for ARMOR BRONZE CODONE BY MASTER CRAFTSMEN. Overall this pair is in very good condition and looks great.
