NUART COMPANY Nuart, a subsidiary of The Gift House, Inc. (who distributed their products), was located at 107 Broadway in its 1931 catalog. The catalog lists 28 pairs of bookends in four different finishes including bronze, ebony black, green, and oriental red. Active in New York City in the 1920s and 1930s, Nuart began producing bookends at least as early as 1924 using permanent mold slush metal castings, similar to Frankart.
