Welcome To The Antique Cabinet. For your consideration is a wonderful set of French Art Deco Nude Metal Bookends, circa 1930’s. Seemingly rare when researching on the net, we found a similar set which were attributed to being produced in France, circa 1930 and artist signed E. The bases and figures are metal and have a nice heavy feel weighing over 3 lbs. The bottom of bases are covered in felt and although we believe the bases to be hollow, the figures may be solid due to their weight. The bases are black in color while the figures have a goldish glowing p. 7½” tall by 5¾” at widest. Both are in good condition with no repairs. One does have a small ding/split on side of base- see pic. Both have some loss to the finish although one appears to have more than the other. We did not detect any signatures.
