This is a beautiful hard to find pair of Art Deco bookends. They are in good antique condition, but are almost 100 years old. There is minor wear, surface loss and some light surface cracks that is consistent with bronze statues of this age. There is no heavy damage, deep cracks or repairs. Found at an estate where the original owner had a collection of Art Deco statues and lamps. Most of which were Frankart pieces. I did do research and was unable to find this exact pair of bookends. There are similar ones that were made by Frankart. Mixing that with the origin I can only assume. Similar listings lead me to believe they are bronze clad except they are hollow and look to be only metal. Please enlarge and look at ALL photos closely.
